Davao’s 3rd school of medicine
The Jose Maria College, founded by Dr. Apollo C. Quiboloy, executive pastor of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, the Name Above Every Name, opens Davao’s third school of medicine.
The school was launched in a series of activities last Saturday, starting with a motorcade and program at the JMC campus and a program proper and dinner at 4 to 8 p.m. at the Mrco Polo Hotel.
According to an invitation letter signed by Dr. Nelia Q. Canada, president, JMC is a non-sectarian globally- competitive school with a vision to address the academic needs of the community. It is known for world-class facilities.
The college has already been granted government Permit No. 012 Series 2019 to offer a doctor of medicine program, pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 7722, otherwise known as the Higher Education Act of 1994, and by virtue of Resolution No. 160-2019 of the Commission of Higher Education.
The letter listed Atty. Pearl Angeli Q. Canada as school administrator and Dr. Aurelio Camilo B. Naraval as dean of the college of medicine.
The two older schools of medicine in Davao are Davao Medical School Foundation and the Brokenshire Health Ministries. The state-run University of Southeaster Philippines earlier announced that it will likewise announced it will start offering medicine as a course in its Tagum City campus. AMA
