The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) is targeting 145,720 registrations under Set 12A to Set 12E starting this month of June.
“These will be one of our big-ticket activities for this year, which is our registration,” says Ricky Tijon Regional Beneficiary Data Management Officer of the Pantawid Pamilya Division Davao Field Office.
Tijon said that for Set 12-A they have a target of 73,598 with an actual 59,581 people validated. Of which 46,565 have now active client status where they will start to comply with the program this month.
“We are still accommodating and facilitating registrations under Set !2A and for June we will be starting another set; Set 12C, Set 12D, and Set 12E for a total of 72,122.
According to Margie Cabido, Division Chief, Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Davao Field Office, aside from the coverage of more than a hundred thousand household they are also looking at a 30% increase in the self-sufficiency of the beneficiaries by the end of the year.
The 4Ps which was incepted in 2007 is a government program that invests in the health, nutrition, education and psycho-social development of the beneficiaries. Cash grants are given to the beneficiaries in exchange with their compliance to Program requirements, to include attendance to Family Development Sessions.
“The program is an investment in human capital and part of it being an investment is we make sure that the children which is part of the beneficiaries of the program are compliant in health and education mostly that the member of the household the adults of the household attend the family development sessions,” Cabido said.
For the year they are looking to process digitization to improve and make processes more responsive. Cabido said they working with academes to achieve their goal.
Also, this year is the full operation of KILOS UNLAD, case management framework which is being used and will lead to the launch of the seven- year transformative learning path.
“This transformative learning path is anchored on family development session that will be more relevant in monitoring and guiding our beneficiaries as they exit the program,” Cabido said. (PIA/RG Alama)
