Davao-based health solutions app inks partnership with healthcare workers

Health and Wellness Solutions or haws has partnered with the Employees Association of Regional Health Office 11 of the Department of Health-Davao Center for Health Development (DOH DCHD) to bring its advocacy of providing healthcare access to DOH-DCHD employees and their families.

Founded in Davao City, Health And Wellness Solutions (haws) – is an assistive technology, in the form of a mobile application available in the app stores. Through the online platform, haws empowers patients to book healthcare provider appointments for clinic visits, teleconsultations, booking of diagnostic services.

The ceremonial signing was made on July 24, 2023 with DOH-XI Regional Director Dr. Annabelle P. Yumang and EAR President Marc Shane Adeva. Representing haws were Warren Cane, Business Development Director, and Wendy Cabrera, Healthcare Provider Director.

“The hawsCares Program falls on ensuring our health and wellness program for our employees,” Marc Shane Adeva EAR president said during the signing.

He added that their members, alongside their families, will benefit from the many features of haws which is not just limited to online interaction.

More than just telemedicine services, haws aims to provide employee and dependent health benefits for outpatient consultations and provide continuity of care for community members through its POWERhaws Open Talks Exclusive.

“With this new strategy of health consultation, it is very convenient on our

part even at the comforts of our home, 24/7 ang serbisyo niini sa katawhan (service to the people) so they can seek health services anytime,” said Dr. Yumang.

For haws healthcare provider director Wendy Cabrera, the assistive healthcare technology connects patients, their families and healthcare providers wherever they maybe.

“Caring beyond borders and geographical boundaries is made possible in haws. Through our mental and wellness programs, we in haws aim to help alleviate worry and anxiety and focus on nurturing comfort to more and more Filipinos in the Philippines and abroad,” Cabrera said.

In alignment with the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law, haws aims to complement the rollout of the UHC Law and commits to utilize its online applications as one of the sustainable solutions to the country’s need for more healthcare providers by overcoming geographical barriers, and bringing care directly to people in remote areas ultimatetely empowering patients to access and receive cost-efficient patient treatments in the comfort of their homes.
