The Office of First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte in partnership with Anti-Crime and Terrorism Community Involvement and Support (ACT–CIS) Partylist distributed snacks and mugs to more than 500 visitors, including the members of the 11 tribes of Davao City, at the Kadayawan Tribal Village inside the Magsaysay Park in Davao City on August 14, 2023.
The Kadayawan Tribal Village has been the main attraction of Kadayawan sa Davao Festival, showcasing the rich culture of Davao City’s 11 ethnolinguistic tribes, the Ata; Matigsalug; Maranao; Maguindanaon; Bagobo Klata; Obu Manuvu; Bagobo-Tagabawa; Tasug; Sama; Iranun; and Kagan.
The distribution of the snacks, a cup of cooked rice vermicelli with slices of bread along with a printed mug, kicked off during the opening of the Bantawan Cultural Presentation, a cultural convergence at the Bantawan Amphitheater of the Magsaysay Park.
Rep. Pulong said the provision of snacks to everyone who passed by the food truck is his office’s way of supporting the said festival.
“Our intention behind this activity is to ensure everyone is enjoying the festival without starving,” Rep. Pulong said.
The distribution also reaffirms the steadfast commitment of the office of Rep. Pulong to provide essential assistance not only to the people they represent.
The activity will run until August 20.
