Various government services will be brought to the people of Monkayo, Davao de Oro through the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) from September 23 to 24, 2023.
The BPSF is a program of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. that aims to bring government services closer to Davao de Oro residents, providing them with more convenience and easier access to social services, livelihood and educational services, regulatory functions, and other programs.
“We will bring various government program and services para sa ating mga kababayan sa Davao de Oro. This a two-day caravan and will serve as a one-stop-shop para sa mga government agencies,” said lawyer Joy dela Cruz, BPSF National Secretariat of the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives during the Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City Davao on Monday.
Prosperidad Reterba, chief of staff of the Office of Representative Maricar S. Zamora of the First Congressional District of Davao de Oro, said Rep. Zamora accepted the challenge of Marcos Jr. by bringing the program to Davao de Oro.
“Technically this is only for the people of Monkayo in Davao de Oro but naa pud mi beneficiaries nga galing pa sa uban na mga lungsod aron maka avail sa among ihatag na mga programa nga gikan sa unified national agencies,” Reterba said.
The two-day activity will gather more than 40 national government agencies and is targeting to serve 40,000 beneficiaries.
The activity will provide social services, livelihood, and educational services from various agencies such as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will offer financial assistance; the Department of Agriculture (DA) will turn over equipment; the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will offer livelihood; and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) will assist with education matters.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) will be on board also for processing of driver’s license and clearance respectively.
“As of today registered beneficiaries is more than 10,000 and we’re expecting more in the coming days. Puwede mag register sa BPSF portal or on site,” dela Cruz said.
