2Go making waves on Davao coast

MV 2Go Masigla, the latest addition to the MV 2GO fleet, is making waves on the Davao coast as it started to ply the Davao-GenSan-Iloilo City-Manila route with its maiden voyage on March 18, 2024, from Manila to General Santos City.

2Go, the Philippines’ largest integrated transportation and logistics solutions provider and a part of the SM Group, recently announced a significant addition to its operations in Davao and General Santos with its new vessels for travel and logistics.

“This is a regular weekly route for this specific vessel,” said RJ Cabreros, corporate communications manager of 2Go.

MV 2Go Masigla arrived at the Sasa Port on Monday evening and catered to media, influencers, and guests by touring them to the vessel’s amenities.

The vessel features amenities similar to restaurant dining, hotel-like accommodations, a fully-equipped salon, and entertaining karaoke rooms.

Passengers can also enjoy onboard retail outlets featuring well-known brands such as Kultura, Miniso, QuikMart, and Watsons, along with freshly brewed beverages and pastries from Café 2GO. It is described as “a seamless blend of business and excitement for travelers.”

Ingril Salud, retail marketing manager of 2Go, said that aside from the frequent travelers, they are also eyeing to capture groups that are into MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions), and consumers carrying cargoes.

With 2GO’s expanded routes, residents and tourists in Davao and General Santos now have more travel alternatives. The routes also offer transport and logistical help to places like Tagum, Digos, Kidapawan, Socksargen, and more, in addition to their local surroundings.

The move is also part of 2GO’s commitment to fostering economic growth and facilitating seamless connections in the Mindanao region. Through its investments in infrastructure, technology, and personnel, 2GO is poised to elevate travel and logistical experiences for individuals and businesses alike.
