Vice President Sara Duterte has maintained her top rating as the most trusted government official, according to Pulse Asia’s most recent Ulat ng Bayan survey.

The vice president’s approval rating rose by two points from 67 percent in March to 69 percent in June. Her trust rating in both months remained the same at 71 percent.

According to the same survey, President Ferdinand Marcos’ approval and trust ratings dropped by two and five percentage points, respectively.

Comparing the March and June 2024 datas, Marcos’ approval rating went down from 55 percent to 53 percent, while his trust rating decreased from 57 to 52, respectively.

The same survey showed a two-point increase in Speaker Martin Romualdez’s approval rating from 34 percent to 36 percent and four points increase in trust rating from 31 percent to 35 percent, while Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero got a nationwide trust rating of 69 percent.

Pulse Asia said the result came out after the Vice President resigned from her post as DepEd secretary.

Meanwhile, the vice president’s recent remark “designated survivor” and pronouncement of skipping Marcos’ third State of the Nation Address (SONA) next week received negative reactions to several lawmakers in light of the upcoming SONA.

However, Duterte reacted by saying that her remark was neither a joke nor a bomb threat.

“Dili siya joke, dili pod siya bomb threat. I think many missed the point. So for me, wala akong sagot the first time, I don’t think it deserve an explanation,” she told reporters during the Brigada Eskwela in Cebu City.
