At least 3,862 Dabawenyos received assistance from the Vice Mayor’s Office’s (VMO’s) Serbisyong Medical All the Way program as of October this year.
Serbisyong Medical All the Way is a flagship project of the VMO under the leadership of Vice Mayor J. Melchor Quitain Jr.
According to the VMO, through this project, it can provide free medical consultation from licensed physicians, free prescription medicine, and free vitamins for all age brackets ranging from children to senior citizens.
The Special Projects and Advocacy Division (SPAD) of VMO is tasked to implement priority advocacies under the Health Agenda Advocacy.
The office has been conducting localized or purok per purok medical missions to respond to the needs of the grassroots communities of the three districts of Davao City.
Aside from the Serbisyong Medical All the Way, the VMO also offers free legal consultation under its Serbisyong Legal All The Way program from Monday to Friday. It is being offered in time for the medical missions in different barangays and as of October 2024, more than 1,300 Dabawenyos have availed this service.
“Serbisyong All the Way ni Atty Jay” was coined in 2016 not only as a campaign slogan but as a true guiding principle for Team Quitain as they go about their daily interactions with Dabawenyos. This slogan reflects my work ethic and I believe that “hindi pwede ang pwede na” and that every task must be approached with enthusiasm, performed with dedication, and completed with exceptional results,” Quitain told Edge Davao.
