Vice President Sara Duterte assured the Filipinos that amid the crisis and lack of resources, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) will continue to serve the people.
“We assure the Filipino people that even in times of crisis and without resources, we shall stand tall, strong, and resilient in our service to the Filipino people. We will not break,” the vice president said in her video message.
The vice president is facing cases filed by the National Bureau of Investigations (NBI) related to her alleged death threats against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and Speaker Martin Romualdez.
The OVP expressed its deepest gratitude to all the lawyers, doctors, and other professionals who are helping the personnel affected by the ongoing crisis in the office.
“The legal documents are now with the lawyers, and the patients are under the expert care of healthcare personnel. All these back office support shall allow me and other personnel to focus on the OVP thanksgiving, year-end activities, office utilization review, and the calendar year 2025 planning,” the vice president said.
In continuation of the celebration of the 89th Founding Anniversary of the OVP, the OVP held a thanksgiving Activity in Toledo City, Cebu on November 25, 2024, with activities include the distribution of 485 Pagbabago Bags at Don Andres Soriano Elementary School for 225 Grade 2 and 260 Grade 5 students.
This was followed by a tree planting activity at the Barangay Hall of Ilihan, which aims to promote the protection of nature.
The OVP also distributed assistance to the 1,600 beneficiaries from the sector of senior citizens, Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), fisherfolk, farmers, and Muslim communities.
