For movie addicts, Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible (MI) is a to-die-for franchise. Consider the stunts, the storylines, the characters, and of course, the actor Tom Cruise himself.
Like a true blue MI fanatic, I was filled with excitement when I received an invite from SM Lanang Premier for the advanced screening of “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1” on IMAX.
The seventh installment of the hit action franchise of my childhood crush left me and my friends gushing. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) didn’t fail to amaze us in portraying his character and continues nailing his passion for acting.
Ethan Hunt reassembles and leads his IMF core team Luther Stickell (played by Ving Rhames) and Benji Dunn (played by Simon Pegg) with Ilsa Faust (played by Rebecca Ferguson), as they take their impossible tactics in a globe-trotting chase while preventing a terrifying new weapon that can threaten all of humanity if it falls into the wrong hands – the bureaucrats and bad guys.
From the dunes of Abu Dhabi to the bridges of Venice, to the cobbled streets of Rome and the vast mountains of Norway, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.
Never had the two hours flown so fast and I was still riding that high the same way I did after watching MI for the first time.
Amazing. Thank you again SM Lanang Premier and IMAX from the bottom of my heart for this catharsis of love for this franchise and this movie.
IMAX gives clear and spectacular visuals of stunts and a new level of adventure of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
