For some people, November is an ill-favored time to take a break as it is tucked between October’s vibrant hues and the Holiday Season of December.
For some members of the Davao media along with influencers, there is no off-season for traveling.
Last month, the Davao group was invited for a sojourn in the Queen City of the South by the Gokongwei Travel Group for a Media Thanksgiving Dinner along with other media, vloggers, and influencers from Luzon and Visayas at NUSTAR Resort and Casino’s Axis Entertainment and Sports Bar.
The affair was punctuated with messages from the executives of the Gokongwei Travel Group.
Chief Marketing and Customer Experience officer Candice Iyog shared Cebu Pacific’s achievements for this year such as the arrival of the new aircrafts, which is a testament to Cebu Pacific Air’s continued growth.
“We wanted to share a journey with you which you are a part of our story for 2023 and when we look back, wow what a year it has been,” she said.
Everyone had an amazing night especially since each of us received a free roundtrip ticket from Cebu Pacific as a surprise.
The dinner was capped with music and dancing.
Among the activities of the trip were tours to the premier properties of Robinsons Hotels and Resort Group, the Summit Galleria Cebu Hotel and the Dusit Thani Cebu.
Summit Galleria Cebu Hotel has a total of 220 rooms, 187 Deluxe Rooms; 16 Premier Rooms; and 17 Summit Suites namely Mango, Sinulog, and Lapu-Lapu.
Our group got the chance to see the premium Mango Premier Room, the Deluxe King Rooms, and the indoor swimming pool.
Dusit Thani Cebu, where the Davao group was billeted, was already gearing up for Christmas when we arrived.
We we were greeted by its tall Christmas tree at the hotel’s open-air lobby.
The View Lobby Bar, which offers its iconic open-air view of the Mactan Channel and its open-air sports bar with views of the sea and the infinity pool, really impressed me.
This latest Cebu escapade was a sojourn to remember.
