The Davao City Police Office has assured the wife of the slain PO3 Wilfredo Garol that charges of murder and robbery are being readied against her husband’s assassins once their identities have been established.
“Justice will be served,” DCPO director S/Supt. Alexander Tagum assured the policeman’s widow.
“We are not sleeping on our jobs and we are doing our very best to ensure that the killing of PO3 Garol will be solved,”he said, adding that investigators are still conducting a thorough probe to pinpoint the real perpetrators of the killed police officer.
“We are on the right track since we have leads that we are following up,” he said. He said the DCPO has withheld identifying the suspects since the investigation is still on the process.
But, they are looking of at least three persons of interests on the case. “We assure you that in the near we will make announcements on the case,” he said. “We do not want to compromise our ongoing conduct of investigation, we cannot publicly say,” Tagum added.
Tagum said the police will possibly file case of murder and robbery against the suspects since the motorcycle and service firearm of PO3 Garol was stolen after the incident. He disclosed that Mayor Sara Z. Duterte-Carpio ordered him to have a thorough investigation for immediate solution of the murder case of Garol. Meanwhile, Tagum said that the family of Garol already received P100,00 cash and a sack of rice coming from the City Government of Davao City.
Garol was killed by two unidentified men at Sitio Luman, Barangay New Valencia, Tugbok District after she dropped his wife in Luman Elementary School on November 12.
