Phoenix art exhibit to feature 12 artists

In celebration of its15th founding anniversary, Phoenix Petroleum Corp. will open its first art exhibit on December 8-16 p.m.at the SM Lanang Premier Atrium in Davao City.

“This Phoenix Show is a Visual feast like no other. An exciting art event that every art lover should not miss,” said Amanda Fe Echevarria an Artist- Educator and Curator.

Echevarria said that the exhibit will feature 12 artists namely: Bollozos, Buenaventura, Catague, Cayas, Echevarria, Joaquin, Macla, Miraflor, Pepito, Perez, Pueblas, and Secuya.

“This artist will present two artworks each in oils and acrylics on a 4 feet x 4 feet canvas,” said Echevarria.

According to Echevarria the participants are all serious practicing artists with solid body of works. It is a mix of senior and emerging artists with academic credentials and professional track records.

“They are known for their unique vision and excellent craftsmanship,” she said.

She added that this is a project for the opening salvo of the Phoenix Petroleum group in its entry into the art scene.

“The artworks are finely woven narratives of how the artist sees Davao and Mindanao as whole in their eyes, “said Echevarria.

In line with its corporate social responsibility, art promotion is one of its ways of giving back to the community.

“As a group expand its scope of business engagements in several industries, this exhibit will describe and manifest the various engagements in visuals and colorful compositions,” said Echevarria during the Habi at Kape press conference at the Abreeza on Wednesday

Echevarria said that paintings are carefully selected and show is thoughtfully curated by Victor Secuya a famous Davao visual artist to present an excellent array of well- crafted artworks.

“This exhibit is an occasion for everyone to view artworks never seen in public. Artworks that will touch the heart and tickle the imagination,” said Echevarria.
