The Davao City Economic Enterprise (CEE) surpassed its 2024 collection target of P211,020,000, marking a significant increase from its 2023 collection.
Economic Enterprise Manager Maximo Macalipes Jr., in an interview with the Madayaw Program over the city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR), said the CEE achieved more than 100 percent of its target collection in 2024.
“Na-reach na gyud nato ‘tong income target na ginahatag sa atoa sa local finance committee, so excellent na amoang performance (We’ve finally reached the income target that the local finance committee gave us, making our performance excellent),” he said.
In 2024, the CEE’s income reached P211,473,170.76. This is higher than its 2023 income of P200,479,369.86.
A huge chunk of this collection came from the market operations of the city amounting to P136,553,950.27.
The CEE also attributed the increase to the city’s cemetery operations, slaughterhouses, and other income generating projects.
Macalipes said the Economic Enterprise’s strong collaboration and partnership with other agencies helped ensure that the office implements its policies and programs properly.
“Attributed sad ni, nafeel namo ang suporta sa top management ilabi na ni Mayor Baster Duterte, si Sir Makoy Layog, ang atoang City Administrator (We also attribute this to the support of our Mayor Baste Duterte, and City Administrator Atty. Francis Mark Layog),” he said.
Macalipes also expressed his gratitude to the public for their continuous and consistent support. CIO
