Motorists will be greeted with lower prices of fuel products this week, as retailers announced Monday a rollback to mark the third straight week of rollbacks for both diesel and kerosene.
In separate advisories, Chevron Philippines Inc. (Caltex), Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will cut prices per liter of gasoline by P0.10, kerosene by P0.30, and diesel by P0.10.
Cleanfuel will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which it does not carry.
The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will roll back prices at 8:01 a.m. the same day.
Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week.
The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected possible rollbacks for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene this week, citing higher buying prices in Asia, declines in production, and the planned tariffs by US President Donald Trump.
Retailers last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.70, and rolled back those of diesel by P1.15, and kerosene by P0.90.
Year-to-date adjustments stood at a net increase of P2.65 per liter for gasoline, P4.80 per liter for diesel, and P4.80 per liter for kerosene as of January 28, 2025.
