Chef Boy Logro leads TESDA Assessors group in Davao

Skills assessors banded together to further enhance the skills competency assessment for the skilled workers in Davao Region.

Organized under its national organization, TESD (Technical Education and Skills Development) Assessors and Trainers Association of the Philippines (TATAP) is headed by its founding chairman Chef Pablo “Boy” Logro.

A non-stock, non-profit organization, TATAP aims for the professional and personal development of TESDA assessors in terms of skills competence of assessors and trainers so that they will also produce nationally certified and globally competitive skilled workers.

TATAP Davao core group was formally inducted recently at the University of Immaculate Conception with Chef Boy Logro as inducting officer and keynote speaker.

“We aim to adopt and adhere to one national standards of national competency as we desire to reach international standards,” Logro said.

“You have my full support in all your endeavors. Let us also strengthen our vision of camaraderie and emphasize the importance of entrepreneurship among TESDA graduates,” he added.

TATAP Davao core group officers included Gladys G. Cuencia, President;  John Ralph C. Sandoval, Vice President, Cherry Mae M. Manual Secretary; Concepcion M. Domag, assistant secretary; Margarita C. Libre, Treasurer; Mantovanni S. Ablog assistant treasurer; Edel A. Buñag, Auditor; Lizette G. Lazarraga, Davao City representative; Evelyn S. Alba, Davao del Norte representative; Bernalie A. Nicolas, Davao del Sur representative.

“I am confident that the Davao Core group is strong. Let’s be partner of TESDA to police non-compliant practices to ensure quality of TESDA graduates,” Logro said.

For her part, TATAP Davao president Gladys Cuencia said, “we aim for the development of our assessors and trainers, at the same time we are looking forward to also extend community assistance even in our simple way.”

“The goal is to unite and calibrate our practices and standards as trainers and assessors. We will also support other aspects like social and environmental development projects. Of course, we exist and commit to support the endeavors of TESDA here in Region 11,” she added. (PR)
