ACCRALAW Davao Branch held its Legal Forum on 26 June 2019 at the SEDA Abreeza Hotel for clients and friends. The forum was attended by representatives from manufacturing, agri-business, mining and BPO companies, hospitals, schools and banks. It was an opportunity for ACCRALAW to give back to its clients in Davao City and Mindanao area by sharing the recent developments in law, as well as best practices that are relevant to businesses and commercial endeavors.
Atty. Myra S. Montecalvo-Quilatan welcomed the attendees with a presentation of ACCRALAW’s noble beginning, the Firm’s services and practice areas, as well as an introduction of the current lawyers of the branch.
Lawyers from the Cebu Branch also participated. Atty. Louie John D. Lood talked on “Employee Discipline and Due Process”, and Atty. Aylward M. Consulta talked on “Restrictive Covenants in Employment Contracts: Validity and Enforceability”.
Davao Branch’s Atty. Genie Celini D. Nuevo discussed the “Revised Corporation Code”, and Atty. Jennidy S. Tambor discussed the “Tax Amnesty Law”.
After an insightful open forum that followed the lectures, Atty. Ma. Iolanda B. Abella thanked the attendees for gracing the forum.
