Switching power interruptions on February 8, 9, and 10 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on February 8, 9, and 10, 2025, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday affecting customers in different parts of Davao City. These are necessary for the steel pole erection activity at Matina Crossing and the pole and line removal activity along Maa Flyover area.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 1 hour anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, February 8. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10.

Specifically affected are customers from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, including Bucana, City Hall, SP Building, portions of Pichon Street, Bolton Extension, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are those in the entire Ecoland area going to McArthur Highway, MTS, Ateneo Grade School, Ecoland IT Park up to Davao Memorial Park, Quimpo Boulevard from Bolton Bridge going to South Grove, and the entire Tulip Drive up to Walnut Street.

Those in the entire Maa area, Diversion Road to Jade Valley, Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan, from Diversion Road to Bean Xpress Matina Pangi Diversion and neighboring areas will also be affected by these scheduled power interruptions.

Customers in Matina from McArthur Highway Davao Memorial Park going to Matina Crossing, Matina Aplaya areas going to Ecoland Coastal Road Entrance, Matina Pangi areas going to Diversion Road Bean Xpress, and neighboring areas will also be affected.

Lastly, those in Gaisano Grand Toril, Carabao Statue Gaisano Mall Toril going to Sirawan and Binugao areas will also experience these service disruptions.

In connection, a 4-hour power interruption will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. of Saturday, February 8 to 2:00 a.m. of Sunday, February 9, affecting customers along Magtuod Road going to Langub area including portions of Monteritz up to Sitio Uyanguren.

Separately, another load transfer will be conducted for 30 minutes anytime between 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 9, affecting customers along Maa Road from Las Terrazas going to Diversion Road along Kubota Philippines, including NHA Maa, Del Pilar Village, New Washington Village, Roldan Village, Woodridge Park, and nearby areas, Matina Crossing up to Lots for Less Matina Aplaya Road, including Sunrise Village, Ultra Homes, Batangueno Village, Pag-asa Village, and those along Magtuod Road going to Langub area including portions of Monteritz up to Sitio Uyanguren.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
