The new strategy involves the use of mobile communications to make transactions with those who wish to make pay-ins, the term used for investing money in exchange for monetary returns in interests insanely higher than that offered by the banking system.
This continued operations happen in the aftermath of the numerous violent uproar by disgruntled investors who want their money back from the operators of such investments schemes.
The discovery reported by the DCASU should ring alarm bells to the law enforcement agencies to act immediately to stop the continued operations using digital communications.
Heavier penalties must be meted on these illegal investment operators and at the same time, an aggressive information drive must be done to arrest the continued clandestine operations and protect the innocent public from being victimized further by these scammers.
