Two separate fire incidents that occurred on Thursday incurred an estimate cost of damage amounting to of P3,347,500Million.
According to SFO2 Ramil Gillado, deputy head of investigation section of Bureau of Fire Protection- Davao, the cause of fire in both incidents are electrical in nature.
The first one was caused by over-heated electrical appliance and the other is electrical short circuit.
The first fire occurred at Purok Sta. Cruz, Brgy. Leon Garcia, Agdao, Davao City at around 12:48 noon.
According to SFO2 Ramil Gillado, deputy head of investigation section of Bureau of Fire Protection- Davao, the fire started at Single Family Dwelling two store building owned by Luvegildo Maylas Sr. in the 2nd floor particularly at the Bedroom occupied by Luvegildo Maylas Sr. this fire had an estimate cost of P1,547,500.00.
The fire rapidly spread out the area and burned more or less 40 houses the incident was raised to a third alarm fire. It was declared fire out at around 1:37 in the afternoon
The second fire incident happened 6 hours later at Purok 12, St. John, Brgy 76,Bucana, Davao City.
The fire originated in the ceiling of the house owned by Josephine Sanggo. The alarm was raised to second. More or less 60 houses were totally razed to the ground. This incident had estimated Damage P1,800,000.00.
These fire incidents were responded by Central Fire Station, Bangoy, Lanang, SIR , Central 911, Central Alpha and Bravo, Barangay 19, Matina Crossing Fire Stations, Davao Volunteer Fire Brigade, Filipino Chinese Firefighters Foundation of Davao, Inc., 911 Fire Auxiliary Services, Emergency Medical Service, Balusong Rescue and SRU.
In both fire no one was recorded injured or reported dead.
