Talomo police on Sunday arrested the suspect in the stabbing of a mechanic along the Bago Beach resort in Bago Aplaya in Davao City.
The victim, identified as Dexon del Pilar, 20, male, mechanic and resident of Purok 3-A, Talomo River, Calinan Davao City suffered two stabbed wounds and is now recuperating at the hospital.
Investigation revealed that the victim and his friend identified as Raymund Gamulo, 29, single, unemployed and also resident of Purok 3-A, Talomo River, Calinan Davao City were examining a watch owned by Gamulo when the suspect identified as Daryl Bragat, 19, male, single, carpenter and resident of B19 L12 Phase 2, Gulf View, Bago Aplaya Davao City hurled empty bottles at them and fled.
This prompted Pilar and Gamulo to chase the suspect and they were able to corner him but failed to notice a knife that he carried. The suspect lashed out at his pursuers and managed to stab Pilar at his left armpit and left breast.
The victim was brought to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) at Bajada Davao City for medical treatment while the suspect was successfully apprehended by police officers of Talomo Police Station.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Talomo Police Station for proper disposition.
