PRO assigns vehicles to local police stations

Police Chief Supt. Marcelo Morales, regional director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 11, stressed that the vehicles turned over on Monday will increase the capabilities in the implementation of their anti-criminality campaign.

During the traditional flag raising ceremony held at PRO 11 Grandstand, Camp Quintin M Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City, three Toyota Hi- Lux patrol vehicles and a Hi-Ace Van were received by three municipal stations and the regional headquarters respectively.

These 4×2 patrol vehicles were turned-over to Pantukan Municpal Police Station (MPS), Nabunturan MPS and Panabo MPS while the Hi-Ace Van was received by the Regional Logistics Research and Development Division.

He also reminded that it should be only use for official activities of the station and should be properly maintained by the station commander as well.

This is also in the pursuit of modernization of the PRO 11 to provide enhanced security in the region.

According to Chief Inspector Jason Baria, spokesperson of PRO 11, the vehicles werefrom Camp Crame, National Headquarters of Philippine National Police (PNP).

“It will increase the capability of the police station in terms of their visibility on their area of responsibility,” Baria told Edge on Tuesday.

He added that there will be additional 12 units of Hyundai Elantra donated by the Republic of South Korea through Hyundai Corporation which will be turned over next Monday during the city flag ceremony in front Davao City Hall.

“This units will be benefited by the Davao City Police Office,” he said.
