The victim in the shooting incident near Ice Giants parlor in Sandawa, along Quimpo Blvd at Ecoland, Davao City is still in a critical condition and remains unidentified.
The suspect is also unidentified but is described to be in his early 30’s and estimated to have a height between 5’4 and 5’5 ft.
According to Sr. Insp. Catherine Dela Rey, spokesperson of Davao City Police Office, the victim, the victim’s companion and suspect are yet to be identified.
“There were no identification documents recovered in their body,” Rey said
Police personnel of Talomo Police Station are still conducting a pursuit operation to apprehend and identify the suspect.
Investigation revealed that around 5:20 in the afternoon the victim and his companion were waiting for a public utility vehicle standing near the place of incident.
Allegedly, the suspect approached them and shot the victim, the victim’s companion ran away to an unidentified direction. Before leaving the crime scene the suspect shot the victim again in the head.
The suspect ran away the crime scene going towards the Quimpo Boulevard while holding his firearm.
However a private vehicle accidentally bumped the suspect causing the suspect to hit the ground but the suspect managed to stand up leaving his firearm.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect boarded a waiting taxi unit in Central 911 office goint t SIR Phase II.
The victim was brought to Southern Philippines Medical Center to for medical treatment.
Recovered from the crime scene are one unit of .45 colt gun, five live ammunition, two empty shells of .45 colt, one deformed slug and one magazine under the custody of Talomo Police Station.
