Union Market unveils menus

A world of wonderful flavors under one roof, Union Market officially opens its door to the public on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Azuela Cove, J.P Laurel Avenue, Lanang Davao City, featuring different dishes from both Western and Eastern parts of the world.

Chuck Gepaya, marketing manager of Blue Post Group, said on Friday during the Grand Launching Event that Union Market was a concept that both Anthony and Jen Ang wanted to introduce to the Davao Market.

“It is a union of different dishes from both Western and Eastern parts of the world merging together like a market of choices that will cater to the taste not only for Davao clients but also for the tourist and visitors who are n frequenting our city,” said Gepaya.

According to Chris Tiglao, executive chef of Union Market, The Restaurant features three components, The Pastelarià, products of La Rose Noire and choices of cakes and pasteries; Taperià, showcasing meats and cheeses from international purveyors, and a Filipino-Spanish fusion Brasserià.

Tiglao added that it highlights the best dishes from Europe particularly from Spain, Italy, France and the US as well.

Gepaya  said that it is the first restaurant here in Davao offering “STONE GRILL STEAK”, along favorites: Paella, Tapas, Lechon, among others.

“The whole idea is to invite the customer into the restaurant and study the menu then tries out a few dishes for themselves,” said Gepaya.

He added that some may sound familiar but others are meant to be introduced to the palate and enjoyed for the first time.

Moreover, the Union Market aims to be the epicenter of culinary activity in Davao City, a place that serves melting pot of tradition and innovation.
