79 Xiamen passengers arrive in Davao, tested negative for nCov

Chinese commercial airline Xiamen Air landed in Davao International Airport on Wednesday noon, carrying at least 79 Chinese nationals.

This was confirmed by Bureau of Quarantine Davao head Dr. William Lim in a phone interview.

Lim said the aircraft landed in the city around 12:30 noon and his personnel immediately went to the aircraft to check the passengers.

He said they individually checked  the passengers through thermometer to see if these people contained the symptoms of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (nCoV).

“So far, wala po kaming na intercept na mga pasaherong may lagnat o flu like symptoms (So far, we did not intercept passengers who have fever or flu-like symptoms), ”  he said. 

Lim said all passengers were tested negative from the symptoms of the said virus.

However, despite having tested negative for symptoms in the first check-up, the Chinese nationals still underwent to the thermal scanner at the arrival area.

Lim added that the said passengers are still under monitoring even if they are negative with the symptoms.
