Operatives of Bunawan Police Station arrested a 50-year-old lady for alleged possession of illegal drugs worth P1.2 million during a buy-bust operation inside a mall in Davao City on Wednesday afternoon.
The suspects was identified Linda G. Ledres, a resident of Purok Santol, La Filipina, Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
Police report that the suspect was immediately arrested after she she handed over a sachet of suspected shabu weighing about 5 grams with an estimated value of P15,000 to the agent who acted as a buyer in their transaction, around 2:40 p.m., of January 29 in a food court of a mall along Bajada.
The operatives immediately frisked the Ledres and seized 16 sachets of shabu weighing 75 grams with an estimated value of P1.2 million along with drug paraphernalia.
The suspect is now detained at Bunawan Police Station and will be submitted for inquest proceeding before the City Prosecution Office for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
