The personnel of Bajada Police Station led by Major Antonio Luy arrested 18-year-old Kurt Arron Espinosa in a buy-bust operation along Dacudao Avenue in Brgy. Governor Paciano Bangoy, Davao City on Friday.
Espinosa a.k.a Kap is considered a high value individual (HVI) and a top 1 city-level individual that engaged in the distribution of methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as shabu in Davao City.
During the operation, police operatives confiscated from Espinosa, a resident of Sarphil Agdao Brgy. San Antonio, Davao City, one small and two big self-sealing transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 103 grams with an estimated street value of P2,060,000.
Authorites also recovered the P1,000 bill bearing serial number EZ045670 pre-marked with the initials of the PB “BAD” at the front portion of said bill incorporated with P29,000 machine copy bogus money used as drug buy-bust money by a police operative who acted as poseur-buyer.
Espinosa and the confiscated drugs are now in the custody of Bajada Police Station while necessary documents for the filing of complaint for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, is now being prepared against him and will be undergoing Summary Inquest Procedure.
Espinosa is among those individuals arrested in the buy-bust operations conducted by the police this week in Davao City.
On June 20, 2023, the Ma-a Police Station led by station commander Major Teresita Gaspan arrested a certain “Lapad” in a buy-bust operation at Purok San Marcus, Zone 4, Brgy. Centro, Agdao District, Davao City.
The suspect was caught selling one piece transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police officer who acted as a poseur-buyer.
All confiscated drug items have an estimated weight of 1.05 grams with an estimated street value of P16,000.
The Ma-a Police Station is preparing a case against the suspect for violation of RA 9165.
Meanwhile, the Toril Police Station conducted a drug buy-bust operation in Lizada, Toril, and arrested a minor on June 21, 2023. The suspect was caught with illegal drug paraphernalia during the arrest.
The said minor was endorsed to the Women and Children Desk (WCPD) section at the Toril Police Station.
The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) vowed to continue to remind the people, especially the youth, to stay away from illegal drugs.
