The Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DCDRRMOC) is adopting the Blue Alert Level status during the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) and the observance of All Soul’s Day and All Saint’s Day from October 29, 2023 to November 3, 2023.

This is about the issuance of the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Memorandum No. 135 series of 2023 for heightened monitoring relative to the BSKE and Undas 2023.

A blue alert means half of NDRRMC’s disaster officials are on standby to ensure that there will be enough manpower in case of an emergency.

Based on the CDRRMO memorandum addressed to the barangays, DRRM council, and the safety and security cluster of Davao City, the DCDRRMC Emergency Operations Center (EOC) shall be activated to ensure continuous coordination of all efforts and closely monitor the situation.

Furthermore, the memorandum directed members of the CDRRMC to maintain a heightened alert and intensify close monitoring of any situation within their respective areas of responsibilities and ensure that all precautionary measures and interventions are observed and well undertaken.
