Evangelist admits to be in hiding for fear of his life

Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC) bared in a recorded speech on Tuesday that he had gone into hiding for fear of his life.

“Mula noong 2018 hanggang ngayon hindi na kami mapakali sa ating sariling bansa, Nawala ang aming kalayaan sapagkat kami dito’y sinusurveillance dito sa Pilipinas ng Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Sarili kong bansa ako po’y nagtatago sapagkat liligwakin ako ng ganon ganon na lang. Walang extradition process na gagawin,” Quiboloy said.

Quiboloy is facing investigation in the Senate hearing for possible offenses. The House of Representatives, meantime, is also ready to arrest him if he snubs a subpoena set for a March 12 hearing.

“I will use my constitutional rights for extradition which is the treaty of our country. Yan ang hinihintay ng mga lawyers ko dito sa Pilipinas at sa America. Hinihintay namin ang request sa US embassy, Department of Foreign Affairs, hindi po dumating sapagkat kung pag-uusapan, i-endorse sa Department of Justice,” he said.

Quiboloy, who claimed to be the “appointed son of God”, shared that he learned from reliable sources that the United States’ CIA, FBI, and the State Department no longer want the extradition treaty but allegedly eliminate him.

“We have learned from reliable sources, correct me if I am wrong na they allegedly no longer want the extradition treaty. Ang kanila daw pong gagawin ng CIA, FBI, US embassy at state department at kung sino pa man ang nasa gobyerno, ako ay rendition ang kanilang gagawin. Rendition means they can enter my compound any time and kidnap me. It’s not only rendition but also elimination and if it is possible puwede nila akong i-assasinate. Kidnapping or assassination. Yan and dumating na balita sa akin ngayon from reliable sources,” Quiboloy said.

He was summoned by the Senate to appear before the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, which is looking into claims that he abused women and children.

Additionally, the House had demanded that he appear on March 12 before its Committee on Legislative Franchises, which is claiming that Sonshine Media Network Inc., a network controlled by KJC, had violated the rules of its franchise.
