Seventeen families at Del Carmen Village in Barangay Matina Aplaya, Davao City affected by a fire last week received asistance from the office of the First Congressional District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte on Wednesday.
Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, who represented his father, Rep. Pulong in the Pulong Pulong ni Pulong (PPP) program, led the distribution of relief and cash assistance to eight house owners, six renters, two sharers, and a caretaker at the village.
“Dako mi pasalamat sa inyo, sir, nga sa panahon sa among kalisdanon naa mo Duterte family, wala mi ninyo gipasagdan (We are very thankful, sir, that during our difficult times, the Duterte family truly did not abandon us),” Girlie Mae Tirso said.
Matina Aplaya Barangay Captain Nestor B. Cirunay also thanked Rep. Pulong, Rigo, and all the members of the Duterte family for the timely support given to the fire victims and for making their presence felt among the victims.
The PPP members are committed to prioritizing action over intention in the name of public service.
Rep. Pulong and his team make sure that Dabawenyos are given help during disasters and that displaced families and marginalized groups are supported.
