DCPO rolls out “Oplan SumVac 2024” drive

The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) is intensifying the implementation of “Oplan SumVac 2024” to ensure the safety and security of the Dabawenyos during this summer vacation.

DCPO spokesperson Capt. Hazel Tuazon on Wednesday said that DCPO has implemented “Oplan SumVac” before the Holy Week and has already deployed police personnel in the malls, inland resorts, airports, and seaport.

Tuazon also appealed for the cooperation of the Dabawenyos especially the parents by not letting their children go to the beach without adult companions to prevent the recent drowning incident that claimed the lives of three children in Agdao from happening again.

Tuazon was referring to the three children who were reportedly missing and were found drowned in North San Juan, Barangay Centro, Agdao, Davao City on Saturday evening.

Tuazon assured that the police would provide a good service for the Dabawenyos in time for the summer.

“Apan magtinabangay ta especially sa parents sa mga bata,” she said.
