Investigation ongoing on Easter stabbing incident in Ecoland

Easter Sunday is meant to be a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but for a family, it became a day of tragedy.

Thorough investigation is now ongoing regarding the stabbing of Cinderela Rosales, 22 years old and a resident of Purok Maharlika Cuambugan, Tagum City outside LCI Bus Garage along Quimpo Boulevard in Davao City Sunday evening.

Based on the initial investigation conducted by the Ecoland Police Station, the victim was standing along the road when two unidentified male suspects arrived and stabbed the victim multiple times. The suspects then immediately fled towards unknown direction.

The husband of the victim bared that when he came back after buying medicine at a nearby drug store his wounded wife was already lying on the ground.

Central 911 personnel immediately assisted the victim but was not able to save her.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Capt. Hazel Tuazon said it was a personal grudge and the victim was not held up contrary to earlier reports.

The body of victim was brought to Villa-Gan Funeral Services in Toril, Davao City.

Investigators and intel personnel are conducting follow-up investigations for possible identification and apprehension of the suspects.

“Ongoing pa ang investigation ug gitan-aw ang tanang angle para ma-identify gyud ang suspect/s,” Tuazon said.
