First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte, through his son Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, provided relief and cash assistance to the fire victims in Barangay 19-B, Davao City on April 15, 2024.
Through Rep. Pulong’s Pulong Pulong ni Pulong (PPP) program, his office distributed food packs, water containers, bottled water, and monetary assistance to each of the five tenants, two sharers, and four house owners.
His team also served 50 hot porridges (lugaw) and will be providing packed lunch for the next five days, from Monday until Friday, April 19.
Rigo expressed his gratitude for the people’s unwavering support of his father and the Duterte family.
He also affirmed their commitment to promptly assist families affected by unfortunate events.
Meanwhile, Barangay 19-B Captain Loreto Nicolas thanked Rep. Pulong for the support provided to the fire victims currently recuperating from the incident.
The Bureau of Fire Protection in Davao (BFP–Davao) reported that the fire that gutted houses on Bacaca Road at Garcia Heights in Barangay 19-B on Friday, April 12, was pegged at around P300,000 damages. The fire affected 42 individuals.
The city government temporarily sheltered the fire victims at the ICC Village gymnasium.
