The camp of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy surrendered five firearms to the regional security unit of the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO-11) on Wednesday after the Philippine National Police-Firearms and Explosives Office (PNP-FEO) revoked the License To Own and Possess Firearm (LTOPF) of the evangelist.

The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) in coordination with the personnel of Area PC-Eastern Mindanao under the leadership of acting commander Major General Benjamin Silo, Jr. and Regional Civil Security Unit under Colonel Apollo Reuben Togonon, and PRO 11 director Brigadier General Aligre Martinez served the Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) License Revocation and Restoration Board to Quiboloy and Ingrid Chavez Canada from the Civil Security Group Head Office on May 2, 2024.

In a statement, PRO 11 said the notice was received by Marlon Acobo, executive pastor and authorized representative of Quiboloy’s KOJC located at Jose Maria College, Philippine-Japan Friendship Highway, Sasa, Davao City.

In response, Acobo immediately turned in five firearms consisting of one Colt rifle, two Beret pistols, and two Metrillo pistols.

Acobo informed the authorities that 14 other firearms had already been sold and handed over documents as proof.

Quiboloy owned a total of 19 registered firearms.

“This successful operation reflects the unwavering efforts of law enforcement agencies in upholding the law and maintaining peace and order in Davao Region,” it said.

Meanwhile, Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), on Wednesday said that presently they still could not determine Quiboloy’s whereabouts.

It can be recalled that Quiboloy is in hiding for fear of being extradited.

The evangelist claimed everything happening to him at the moment are just a trap for the American authorities to get him and eventually an extraordinary rendition will take place.

This developed after the National Bureau of Investigation-Davao (NBI-Davao) served the warrants of arrest to Quiboloy’s co-accused namely Barangay Tamayong chairman Cresente Canada and four others who surrendered to the NBI-Davao office last month.

This is concerning the warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court branch 12 of Davao City under Judge Dante Baguio against Quiboloy, and five others over child abuse charges.
