Apo Golf fielding two squads in 75th PAL Interclub

Not just one but two men’s teams will represent Apo Golf and Country Club in the Philippine Airlines (PAL) Interclub 75th edition which officially teed off on Monday in Cagayan de Oro City.

Apo Golf 1 will be composed of veterans Vincent Gumapac, Juan Karlos Alba, Jose Addy Briones, Herminio John Raneses Jr., Miguel Angelo Fusilero, and Mark Oropeza with youthful Fraz Nino Pasquil plucked from its junior ranks.

Apo Golf 2 will parade Larry Baluso, Regino Capa, Anton Nitorreda, Carlo Angelo, Jay Molde, Gian Hernandez and Mayolito Pillerin.

Both teams see action in the tournament that will be tested in both the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro City and Del Monte Golf and Country Club in nearby Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon on March 1-4 for the men’s regular class.

Apo Golf will miss the services of top gun Albernito “Denden” de Castro who begged off due to health reasons.

Apo Golf teams will be part of the tough cast of 89 teams in the men’s regular division.

The Seniors team of Apo will be bannered by Regino Capa, Hilario Baluso, Alberto Belen, Alimar Etrone, Edwin Cayamanda, Edgar Cabrera, Jong Manulid and Gerardo Josol. A total field of 93 teams comprise the Seniors Interclub who will see action from February 22-25.
