DAVAO ORIENTAL – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has officially proclaimed the new set of Provincial Government officials at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan earlier today.
Together with the members of their families, incumbent Governor Nelson Dayanghirang and Vice Governor Niño Uy have been proclaimed winners for the same posts. The two officials, who were both unopposed, have garnered 188,884 and 166,467 votes, respectively.
The winners were proclaimed by the Provincial board of canvassers chaired by Acting Provincial Election Supervisor of the COMELEC Sergio Manligoy Jr.
Also proclaimed winners were First District Representative Corazon Malanyaon and Second District Representative Joel Mayo Almario, who were also unopposed.
The new slate of Sangguniang Panlalawigan members were also proclaimed composed of the new and incumbent board members.
Winners for the First District are Nelson Dayanghirang, Jr., Dante Caubang, Nenette Palmera, Joselito Villademosa, and Laureano Taya. Victors from the Second District are Louie Rabat, Lito Macatabog, Lemuel Ian Larcia, Enrico Antopuesto, and Capistrano Roflo.
Governor Nelson Dayanghirang, in a message, thanked all those who supported him in the recently concluded elections.
