Two (2) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) Personnel namely: Oswaldo Dimpas and Armiel Burdo, were recognized by Mayor James Gamao for their act of honesty and trustworthiness for returning a lost wallet to its owner.
The wallet belongs to Lovely Echavez, a student. It contains cash more than PhP 2,000 and school documents and was found along the Quezon St., in front of the Gaisano Grand Mall entrance while Dimpas and Burdo were manning the traffic.
“I know how it felt to need money so I felt the urge to return the wallet,” said Burdo in an interview. Burdo has been serving the LGU for twelve (12) years.
“By returning a lost item, we make a good example. We are glad that we made our TMU and LGU-Panabo proud,” said Dimpas. He is working as an enforcer for about 1 month.
Dimpas and Burdo both received certificate of recognition during the Monday Convocation program. Signed by the City Mayor, the certificate emphasizes the integrity and rectitude of the traffic enforcers as employees of the LGU-Panabo that is worthy to be emulated by all.
