Speaking before Tagumenyos during his 3rd Inaugural Address, Mayor Rellon rallied Tagumenyos to pitch their share in achieving a new brand of a highly-urbanized city that is centered on becoming a “City of People.”

“By 2025, we envision a Highly-Urbanized City that gives primary focus on its people. This is the paradigm that we are taking, and I share your excitement in making this a reality,” he said.

To sustain Tagum’s momentum on what he coined as “Vision Tagumpay 2025,” the local chief executive said that the continued implementation of his flagship EAGLE WINGS Program will serve as “Tagum’s compass towards realizing its destiny”as a people-centered HUC.

“No matter who you are, no matter where you live, no matter your circumstances in life, we are now on a mission to include you, to join hands with you, to share power with you and to give you reason to believe that we can all pull in the same direction to make Tagum better.”

Rellon, taking a fresh three-year term after winning through a landslide victory during the May 2019 elections, was sworn into office by Judge Ma. Susana T. Baua before a jam-packed audience gathered at the Tagum City Hall Atrium Sunday, June 30, 2019.

The three-termer Mayor’s legislative agenda will be nurtured in the 8thCity Council which will be headed by Vice Mayor Eva Lorraine E. Estabillo, who holds the distinction as the first woman vice mayor of Tagum.

Joining her at the halls of the City Council are Councilors Ester Angoy, Alderson Rellon, Ronald Eliot, Dr. Joel Padoran, Macario Bermudez II, Jose Joedel Caasi, Jan Dmitri Sator, Rey Cyril Alba, Joseph Cabrera and Renante Robles.

Judge Arlene Palabrica administered the oath of office of the leader and the members of the City Council during the event, which was attended by community bigwigs, including Davao del Norte’s new leader, Governor Edwin Jubahib.
