City of Mati Mayor Michelle Rabat graces the inauguration of the Busog Lusog Talino (BLT) Kitchen at the Rabat-Rocamora Mati Central Elementary School on August 20, 2019.
The BLT Kitchen is a joint project of the Jollibee Group Foundation and the Department of Education in cooperation with the City Government of Mati.
The BLT Kitchen in Mati is 33rd all over the country and third in the Davao Region with other kitchens located in Davao City and Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
JGF plans to put up four more BLT Kitchen in the region and in Davao Oriental.
The BLT Kitchen in Mati currently serves 520 schoolchildren in eight different schools.
BLT Kitchens across the country provides undernourished pupils with lunch for 120 days to help prevent drop outs due to hunger and improve their school performance.
Mayor Michelle promises to give 100% support to the project so it could help more schoolchildren in the city.
