The 43rd Nutrition Month was organized by National Nutrition Council (NNC) Region XI in line with the Nutrition fair 2017.
The fair is the launching of different programs of NNC Region XI which is headed by Dr. Maria Teresa L. Ungson about nutrition. “This year’s Nutrition fair is different because its in-line with the President’s aim which is Change. There are new programs that will be launched today for the benefit of everyone,” said Michelle C. Cortez from Prim Communications & Events Company i at SM Annex, Thursday.
One of which is the first Nutri-Karinderya in the Philippines to give importance to the calorie count which is often ignored by the people. In this Karinderya, the food will be labeled with the name and the calorie count. Another is the Media Inter-active which is the lifestyle journey of Maria Teresa L. Ungson in changing her way of living in terms of nutrition. The goal of this program is to be an example to everyone who wants to have a healthier life. The partners of NNC in promoting these programs are Anytime Fitness, Balay Verde, Prim Communications and Philippine Hallal Trade and Tourism.
