Forty-nine days after serving as director of the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), Brigadier General Aligre Martinez was relieved on Thursday evening.

The news was confirmed by Major Catherine Dela Rey, spokesperson of PRO 11.

Dela Rey could not give details on the reason for the relief of Martinez from his post.

Martinez assumed the post on April 26, 2024, following former Brigadier General Alden Delvo’s retirement.

Based on the document that circulated on social media Thursday evening, Martinez was reassigned to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (PHAU) and Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) by the command of PNP chief Gen. Rommel Marbil.

Martinez is replaced by Brigadier General Nicolas Torre.

However, no turnover ceremony happened on Friday for Torre’s assumption.

“Wala pong turnover today sirs and maams. Wait lang kami when,” Dela Rey told the media.

Twelve police personnel from the Davao Region were also relieved: nine from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 11 (CIDG 11), two from the Special Action Force (SAF), and another one from the Traffic Enforcement Unit-Davao City Police Office (TEU-DCPO).

All of them will be assigned to Police Regional Office-Calabarzon.

It can be recalled that on Monday, personnel from CIDG and SAF battalion raided the compounds of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) to serve the warrants of arrest against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and five others.

However, the raiding teams failed to arrest Quiboloy.
