Maya on the Block: Celebrating 25 years of nurturing lives

Compassion is said to be the ray of hope that influences individuals and organizations to help people in need.

For 25 years, the Don Antonio O. Floirendo, Sr. (AOF) Foundation, the CSR arm of the ANFLO Group of Companies, has been committed to providing humanitarian and community services, particularly in the areas of education, health and wellness, community development, and environmental care, to help the marginalized and underprivileged.

Named after one of the most successful agricultural industrialists in Mindanao, the late Don Antonio O. Floirendo Sr., AOF is at the forefront of community service.

As AOFF Inc. celebrated its Silver Founding Anniversary on January 13, 2024, at T’Nalak Hall, Seda Abreeza Hotel, Davao City, it reflected the foundation’s accomplishments for 25 years.

“Over the years, the foundation has worked towards serving the marginalized and the underprivileged. Since then, the foundation’s advocacies continued in promoting education, health, care for the environment, and community development initiatives,” said Norman L. Clemente, executive director of AOFF.

Clemente highlighted that the foundation’s success is not only measured by the quantity of accomplished projects but by the quality of its implementation that enhances the lives of the people and the community it serves.

He expressed gratitude for the never-ending support of the Floirendo family especially to Maria Cristina F. Brias – Managing Director – ARDC and AOFF Ricardo R. Floirendo- Vice Chairman- ANFLO Group of Companies Vicente R. Floirendo- President & CEO – Agri Group, DAI, Securus, and Pitrade Maria Theresa R. Floirendo- Member of the Board; Director for Environmental Concerns Anthony B. Sasin; executives; donors; – Member of the Board; executives; donors; stakeholders; volunteers; and AOFF staff.

“To all who play an important role in making everything into success,” Clemente said.

During the occasion, three AOFF employees were recognized for their service and commitment to the foundation. The partners, benefactors, and affiliates of AOFF also received plaques of recognition for their endless support throughout the years.

For AOFF, 25 years is not an end but a beginning to new and greater heights and possibilities.

The foundation also hopes to fortify and carry out its commitment to the service of the Filipino people and God for many and better years to come.

“As we look forward, let us remain committed to our mission and embrace the opportunities for growth and innovation,” Clemente said.
