Maya on the Block: Innovative young minds

Academic subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science may help students build competency but entrepreneurship skills enhances communication, negotiation, collaboration, and time management.

Stockbridge American International School (SAIS), the only international school in Davao City and in Mindanao with an entrepreneurship program, encourages students as early as kindergarten to practice the entrepreneurial skills they acquired from their classrooms through school fairs.

On April 26, 2024, SAIS held the Junior Entrepreneurship Fair at Luxebridge Hotel driveway featuring the students’ creativity and entrepreneurial spirit by showcasing their exciting products via selling activity.

You can immediately acknowledge that the students came prepared for the activity judging not only by each table or booth’s showcased merchandise such as food, pastries, refreshments, cosmetics, scents, arts and crafts, and many more but for their enthusiasm, confidence and persistence.

Impressed and delighted by the students, customers and guests were all tempted to buy and taste the wide array of offered products.

The fair carried the theme “Young Innovators: Building Tomorrow’s World Today.”
The entrepreneurial spirit and business skills of the young students were topnotch during the fair.

Who knows with their entrepreneurial drive, these fresh, new breeds will produce future industry captains and company moguls.

Well, that is not surprising as it is the vision of SAIS, to educate young global business leaders.
