First LGU funded skills training center in Davao del Norte rises in Panabo City

The first ever Skills Training Center funded by a Local Government Unit (LGU) in the Province of Davao del Norte rises in Panabo City specifically located at Motorpool, Barangay Datu Abdul. The Inauguration of the Center was held on May 7, 2019.

This LGU funded Training Center offers ample courses like Shielded Metal Art Welding NCII, Driving NCII, Dressmaking NCII, Housekeeping NCII, Cookery, Bread and Pastry Production NCII, Beauty Care and Nail Care NCII, Hair Dressing NCII, Visual Graphic Design NCIII, Bookkeeping and Basic Japanese Language.

City Mayor James G. Gamao stated that it is time that the City hosts skills training with a TESDA-accredited training center. We commit to produce one of the finest and skilled Panaboans equipped for the workforce.

Panabo’s Skill Training Center consist of one (1) computer laboratory and an administrative office and two (2) lecture and practical area rooms. The Center will also serve as a training ground conducive for learning and for honing the skills of the trainees.

The event was attended by City Officials, employees and the trainees chosen by the Philippine Employment Service Office Panabo (PESO), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Furthermore, the blessing of the said event was officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose David Jr., followed by the ribbon cutting ceremony.
